Okay so since this is the last week I wracked my brain for a tip that I wanted to share with everyone that really spoke to the essence of what a wedding is... Here we go...

Tip #6: JUST HAVE FUN

I know, sounds simple enough, right? But when you've spent so much time planning for this one day it's really easy to get caught up in every single little detail. Wanting everything to go perfectly and forgetting to just let yourself enjoy the day without anxiously anticipating every single move of the day. When the wedding day comes, what's done is done, you have planned and planned and planned some more so everything is going to happen as it will and let's be honest, pretty much everything will go as smoothly as you could want. There may be a hiccup here and there, case in point, my wedding day, I forgot my bra and corset at my parents house so when the time came to get in my wedding dress we were scrambling to find it. My sister, also my MOH drove back and grabbed it, crisis averted, however it was a stressful period of time because we only had the church for an allotted amount of time. Looking back, I love telling that story, using it as a lesson and an example for all of my friends getting married that things happen, you just have to let go and let yourself enjoy it all. After all it's only going to happen once, your wedding day will only be one day, don't miss out on it, you'll regret it every day if you do.

I have enjoyed creating this series for you all SO much! I have loved every minute of reliving my wedding day and I hope that along with my tips and workouts you too can have the PERFECT wedding day, all around!!!

As we near the end of January (seriously, how is that already possible?!) we are entering the beginning of wedding season, or at least in many peoples minds anyway.

With that being said let's jump on into Week 4 of our 2017 Bridal Bootcamp with Sworkit!

Tip #4 : Have a friend carry your camera or cell phone around for the entire day. Don't be tied to it entirely, sure you may want to upload a picture after the ceremony or on the party bus but don't let it take over your day. You want to get as many candid photos as you can so let a bridesmaid or your MOH take care of that for you. Instruct them on what you are wanting in your pictures and let them show you a few here and there. 

Don't let that fall on you otherwise you'll be tied to your device, going through pictures, editing the ones you like and before you know it you'll have spent your entire day worrying more about that than the actual day. Yes, you have a photographer but they'll be the ones to get the traditional photos, bridal party pictures, ceremony pictures and the standard ones at the reception (none of that can be replaced so don't think I'm suggesting otherwise)... Just let it go for one day and allow one of your best friends to step up, they're the ones who know you best anyway so I'm sure they will totally understand what you want to capture and they can be the ones who get those priceless pictures on your own device to have forever!

Personally, I didn't have a smart phone at that time, I seriously had a flip phone so taking pictures on my device wasn't a thought that crossed my mind. I did let a friend who was a guest have my camera for the day and as much as I love the pictures she captured I wish I would have had a bridesmaid take charge and use my camera during the entire day while we were together.

This weeks "To Be Fit" workout is the perfect full body workout for any bride! Hitting pretty much every part of the body you could want you won't be disappointed!

It's week two of our Bridal Bootcamp, how did week one go for everyone?!?

Moving right along...

This week I'm focusing on cardio and getting yourself into shape doing a really intense cardio workout is the best feeling there is! So make sure you grab the workout HERE and complete it at least two times a week for a minimum of twenty minutes! Also it is highly encouraged to keep up with week one's workout as well, give yourself a bit of variety!

As promised I am going to share with you all some tips that I learned from planning my wedding back in 2011...

Tip #2: If you can add it into your budget there is nothing more valuable than having a wedding planner. I swear she was a life saver for us! I know what you may be thinking, wedding planners are super expensive and there's no way you can afford one. Well, that's not entirely true. Wedding planners are reasonably priced for the most part in regards to the area they are living and working in. We see all these high end wedding planners on TV that are in charge of million dollar weddings, well just because your wedding isn't to that scale doesn't mean you don't need that extra help and it certainly doesn't mean you can't afford it!

Our wedding planner was under $1,000 and she was there every single step of the way! She knew our budget, she got to know our style and she introduced us to tons of incredible vendors. On top of helping us plan the wedding details, she understood vendor contracts and had each vendor sign a contract with us, all in attempts to keep us as protected as possible. She also kept in contact with the vendors and gave each of them a timeline and addresses of where they were supposed to be and when. She also helped coordinate our wedding party, sending them timelines and details for the wedding and rehearsal dinner as well. Seriously, it took a LOAD off of me and I wasn't worried about anything getting done!

There are so many moving parts to a wedding and it just makes sense to have a trained professional who understands the in's and out's of weddings on your team. So head to a vendor show or a bridal show in your area and I can guarantee you that you will find at least one wedding planner who meets your needs and fits your budget!

So I say we just jump right on into today's topic.

Weddings.

For those of you who have already had one you know how crazy it can be to plan.

For those in the thralls of planning, may you not be pulling your hair out.

For those who have yet to embark on that journey, take all the advice you can get!

Today, Sworkit and I are unveiling (pun intended) a new workout series we are bringing to all of you 2017 brides (& bridal party, and heck even wedding guests).

We are calling this six week series, Bridal Bootcamp 2017!

Along with the workouts I'll be sharing moments from my own wedding back in 2011 (Pre-Pinterest people, so there's that). I'll also be sharing my tips and tricks for planning your own wedding as well!

My husband and I first met back at 2005 when we worked together. By the end of 2006 (December 27th to be exact) we started dating. We were together two and a half years before we got engaged, he proposed on my 21st birthday, September 2nd 2009. I immediately went into wedding planning mode, and let's be honest, even before getting engaged the wheels of wedding planning had began to turn inside my head.

Needless to say I was completely overwhelmed, there was so much to do. The one thing I didn't realize was that booking a location is much more intricate and difficult than one may think. Wedding venues book up years in advanced, seriously it's insane. We got engaged in September of 2009 and didn't get married until April of 2011.

Locations book up FAST so my pro tip for today would be, get as organized as you can as fast as you can. Don't go into finding a location having ONE date set in your mind, be open to a general time of the year or even just one month in particular. Your vision of finding a location will be MUCH easier if you are flexible. I know plenty of brides who want ONE specific date and it becomes problematic when finding a location. Once your location is chosen everything else will fall into place once you have the location to inspire you! I know it's easy to jump right into the dress, the bridesmaid dresses, the flowers etc. but your life will be much simpler by choosing a location first and a date that coordinates with the location!

Our ceremony location was at my childhood church and where I went to school from preschool through 8th grade...

Our reception was at a GORGEOUS reception venue in downtown St. Louis called Windows on Washington...

SO today's workout is all about Sweating For The Dress...
