America Runs Virtual 5K - Race Review

This race. A lot has surrounded this virtual 5k for me personally.
The timeline for this race happened to include the passing of one of my dogs. My pug, Mab. She has completed a few virtual 5k's with me for BibRave over the years and to say goodbye to her has been one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. Around this same time we welcomed a new dog into our family, a rescue, her name is Luna. Best guess is that she is part Dalmatian part Lab. She's been exactly what our family needed at this time.
Learning to run with Luna has been a little more difficult, she's large, Mab was tiny. However this race gave me the opportunity to bond with my new dog, get out all of her puppy energy and focus on a goal. Completing this race.
We trained together. We raced together.
This race wasn't what I had expected it to be, it was so much more.
Thank you so much for all of your support over the last month on social media as I have grieved and shared pictures of our beloved Mab, and I look forward to sharing many more running adventures with Miss Luna!
