Winter Knits

Wow the time has flown by since my last post... Christmas has very swiftly creeped up on us! Only a week away and I am just now starting to do my Christmas shopping! Good thing a hefty portion of my presents are home made!! {Cookies and knits!}
Now even though I have a lot of work ahead of me I had to find some time to knit something that I have always wanted to attempt, and I always have to have multiple projects going at once! =)
The project I have just finished that I am absolutely in LOVE with are my very first pair of mittens, now I knitted these for myself and am glad I did, I do not think that I could part with them after how hard I worked on them!
- 2 skeins Brooklyn Tweed SHELTER in Sweatshirt
- I personally used 1 skein of Patons Classic Wool in Dark Grey Mix (As long as you use a comparable yarn that suits your own personal style and taste you should be fine)
- US 6-4.0mm needles (DPNs)
- US1-4.5mm needles (DPNs)
- Blunt tapestry needle
- Cable needle
This pattern is extremely easy to follow (once I figured out that you read it, Right to Left and Bottom to Top)... Also the creator of the pattern is extremely helpful and super nice; I had a few questions and she always responded very promptly and always made it seem like she was more than happy to help!
Here is my end result...
These mittens are extremely warm and look very professional, people have even asked where they can get them!!!! (Personally, that's the highest compliment I think I could receive on any knitted project)
You can see all the details and my notes on this project, along with all my other knitted projects HERE on my RAVELRY page (you must be a ravelry member to look at my page or this pattern, it's worth signing up for though!)
HAPPY KNITTING!
