1. When you were 17, tell us what kind of car you drove, where you worked, and what you were usually up to on the weekends.

I drove a GMC Jimmy, bright red. To this day I am kicking myself in the butt for not holding onto it {I traded it in my freshman year in college for a Ford Fusion, love my car but it would of made so much more sense to keep a perfectly running vehicle & have no car payments...}

I worked at SUBWAY, which is where I met Andrew {you can read our story HERE}

On the weekends, we were either at a Football game, a dance, or just hanging out at someone's house, usually mine.

3. When you were 17, tell us what you wanted to be when you "grew up."

A teacher. Still do, kind of.

4. When you were 17, tell us the kind of boys that you dated. Did you have a type? Do you have a relationship you remember well? Tell us about it.

At the time I didn't really think I had a "type" but just ask a few of my friends, they'll tell you I always have had a "type"... Skinny, tall, dark hair, blue eyes. I never really saw it but now looking back I guess I did. I dated a little bit, one pretty serious relationship before Andrew, that lasted until the beginning on Senior year, cue Andrew. Looking back, it was just a mess all around, very on-off & just a VERY high school type of relationship.

5. When you were 17, tell us where you pictured your life 10 years from then. Did it turn out the way you expected it to?

I always pictured myself married young, having a family fairly young, so I am definitely on track in that department & have no reason to believe that by the time I am 28 I will be right where I want to be in that aspect. As far as everything else, I changed my major in college, decided not to teach {yet} & have chosen to write a book instead. So in the work aspect, no it did not turn out how I expected it to BUT it is a good thing & I am glad that things have gone where they have & am very excited to see where things go from here :)

Before sitting down to write this post, I considered & reconsidered whether or not to actually go through with it. Let's be real, the world is full of people who have very big opinions on topics of Politics & Religion & to be quite honest, I am not really one of them. I don't consider myself hard core Republican or Democratic, I have the same opinions as people on both sides. I refuse to compromise certain parts of my beliefs in order to side totally with one party, I'd rather just be in the middle & listen to the world rant & rave about how horrible people who think opposite they do, are. To be quite honest, and blunt, it's a waste of time. Everyone has their own opinions and no amount of articles, statistics or individuals attempts will change the minds of the stubborn. I digress.

What is making me aggravated right now has nothing to do with a specific political party or any of their policies or promised policies but rather, I just don't feel like I am getting the truth out of either side. It just seems like these men are sitting around trying to bad mouth the other, which I understand is the point, but shouldn't it only be to an extent? Maybe I'm being to harsh on both of them, and I'll be the first to admit that, but I sat there last week, watched the entire debate, really attempted to understand what they were saying and what it would mean for me. I got absolutely nothing out of it. I felt horrible for the mediator, he couldn't reign either candidate in & they just stood up there bickering back at forth.

All I want is a place where I can go, get informed & not feel like the information I am receiving is tainted because the platform it is being presented on to me is biased. Maybe I am living in a fantasy world & there is absolutely no such place & if that's the case, then so be it. At the end of the day & come November 6th I refuse to be the person standing in line who did not do everything she could to be as informed as possible before making the decision on who should run our country.

1. If you could relive any memory in your life, tell us what it would be, and what/if anything you would change about it?

I would have to say, our wedding day. It went by so fast & there are a million little things that I wish I could remember & just relive over again. I appreciated that entire day of course but people tell you, "It will go by so fast" & you swear "Yeah, but I'm prepared"... Um, no... There's no way you can be prepared. So yes, I would love to re-live that entire day over again, knowing what to expect.

dear weekend, please be easy on me, you will be very busy & i don't want to lose my mind. dear weather, really? you wait until now to cool down, when i have to be outside all day sunday? this is just not cool, i will forgive you only because i will get to look cute in fall clothing. dear pups, i'm sorry for being so busy lately & having you girls in your cages a lot, i promise tonight we will cuddle & watch tv & hang out for a long time. dear cardinals, let's get this & win tonight so we can start the real play offs. dear starbucks, i really appreciate you being so dependable & reliable, it's nice to always have you there. dear readers, thank you for the continuous support here on the blog, i appreciate it more than you can imagine. dear october, thank you for finally being here, i am extremely excited to finally be able to break out all the fall attire. dear andrew, i love you more than anything babe. dear khloe, i hope your tummy feels better baby girl, i will tell daddy never to buy you that bacon filled hoof treat every again, but instead to get you something even better ;). dear joss & main, i see the majority of my money going to you in the next few months, how dare you be so amazing. dear stormy weather, please go away, you have this girl wanting to do nothing but go home & sleep.

Isn't it pretty?! A little history of this building {called the Flying Saucer building}, constructed in the early 60's it was originally a gas station then transformed into a Del Taco & when Del Taco closed last year the developer wanted to knock the structure down. Well, people protested because of its unique appearance. So last September the developer decided to keep the building, restore it & add some square footage. Today Starbuck's occupies half of this building, the other half will hold a Chipotle {to open later this year I believe}.

Okay, okay enough for today. It's Friday, let's get ready for the weekend! We are going to the Baseball game tonight, Poker tournament at my parent's tomorrow & Sunday, just chilling {hopefully!}

1. Tell us what kind of student you were in high school {popular, nerd, sport obsessed, choir, etc}? Honestly, were really "labeled" that way, of course there were a few crazies but other than that, we were all just there, hanging out, going to class and just having a good time. I know it sounds crazy but it's true, I never once felt judged or labeled in that sort of way.
