Walking through Kirkwood on my way to drinks with a great friend, I love the small town feel of this area & all the shops... ahh, Fall at it's finest. /// 4. My view on the way home from work every day. Sometimes I have to take a step back and realize just how lucky I am to live in the most dangerous city best city out there. Getting to see a landmark such as the Arch every single day, pretty cool. /// 5. Self explanatory. /// 6. My pre-girl's night treats. Love sipping on a glass of wine & catching up on some "reading". /// 7. Amazing pizza at Dewey's... Sausage & banana peppers, so fricken good, I can't even... /// 8. Trying something new, courtesy of Megan... Great call too, girlfriend knows her beer :) /// 9. It just keeps happening... I can't help it, OH & they JUST opened up a Starbucks literally right down the street from my work {today}, as if things weren't bad enough already...

Isn't it pretty?! A little history of this building {called the Flying Saucer building}, constructed in the early 60's it was originally a gas station then transformed into a Del Taco & when Del Taco closed last year the developer wanted to knock the structure down. Well, people protested because of its unique appearance. So last September the developer decided to keep the building, restore it & add some square footage. Today Starbuck's occupies half of this building, the other half will hold a Chipotle {to open later this year I believe}.

Okay, okay enough for today. It's Friday, let's get ready for the weekend! We are going to the Baseball game tonight, Poker tournament at my parent's tomorrow & Sunday, just chilling {hopefully!}

Today I'm having an extremely off day.  I can't explain it but I feel very unmotivated to do anything, which explains this short & sweet post. These little faces have a tendency to cheer me up so I figured I'd share a picture of them from last Halloween. Have you ever just had one of those days where you just don't really want to do anything, you're seemingly sad for no apparent reason? Any suggestions on how to get myself out of this funk?

So remember how I said I was doing nothing this weekend?! Well that turned out to not be true... I guess it's okay since none of what I did was actually planned. Friday I got to leave work early to go pick my grandpa up from the bars,he literally had to twist my arm to join him for one drink. One turned into two and two turned into going to another bar & that turned into going out to dinner with him...

Needless to say I didn't get home until around 7:30 and I was tiiiired. Not too tired to go to Best Buy with my amazing husband and pick me up a new laptop {is it okay that I may be a little in love with this inanimate object?!} Saturday night were some UFC fights & so we met up with some friends at Hooters to watch them. I will say, I'm not too big of a fan of actually watching them but I enjoy the social aspect, hanging out and drinking all night with everyone. Sunday was a family day, his & mine just like it always is.

1. Tell us, if you could only take 5 people with you to a deserted island, who would it be, and why?

My Husband, My Mom & Dad, My two sisters... {Now I'm going to include both my dogs too, sure I consider them people but in this case I'll call them animals so we can all go together :P} I don't think I would be able to survive without all of them!

2. Show us which island you'd like to be deserted at.


3. Tell us, if you could only bring 3 items with you, what would those items be. And why?

My Kindle - Okay we are going to pretend that somehow we have WiFi here & bringing my Kindle means I would have an infinite supply of books to read. {Yes I do realize that if we had WiFi there would be a great chance we wouldn't be deserted but just play along, okay?} It would be nice to have a little escape into the world of a book from time to time.
A blanket & pillow- They can count as one right?! Having a little bit of comfort at night would be nice.

5. Tell us what you envision life would be like on that island. Do you think you would go into survival mode? Would you be like those Survivor people and eat bugs? What qualities do you possess that would help you survive. Do share.

I think at first I would be a little bit petrified {to say the least} but I would hope that I could adapt and figure out just what I needed to do to survive. If I had all of the people I listed above with me, I would be just fine. Eating bugs? Probably not, I would have to be in a very desperate state to eat a bug... I would eat a lot of other animals and things before I ate a bug... Survivor & Fear Factor would NOT be my thing. {Andrew on the other hand would eat just about anything so I feel like he would survive just swimmingly lol}
